Titus Pullo and Lucius Vorenus

Titus Pullo

Pullo is an arrogant Roman centurion. He acts like it's hist birthright to rise up the ranks of the Republic's soldiers but he can back up his arrogance with incredible skill as a soldier. His priority of personal glory above the greater good of the Roman Republic has led to some contempt from his fellow Roman soldiers.

Lucius Vorenus

Vorenus and Pullo's rivalry has been going on for a year or so since the successful Roman campaigns in Britain. Vorenus is Pullo's oppossite in that he cares more about the cause of Rome than his own personal glory. This along with Vorenus not of being of as noble blood as Pullo are the root causes of their heated rivalry. Vorenus strives to do his best for Rome and hopes to be promoted so he can put Pullo in his place.

Julius Caesar

Julius Caesar is a figure of legendary stature, the greatest military commander produced by Rome. He Caesar is a brilliant leader who commands his brave troops to further the glory of Rome and has earned their trust and respect. The siege of Cicero has become a priority over political squabbling in Rome and he is moving to crush Ambiorix's forces and save his countrymen.

Ambiorix

Ambiorix is a Gallic chieftain, leader of the Eburones tribe. He is also the leader of the coalition of other Gallic tribes rebelling against the Republic. While the pretext for rebellion is to free Gaul, Ambiorix cares more about power and fame, the cost in blood to fuel his ambitions of little importance to him.

Gaius Antistius Reginus and Titus Sextius

Gaius Antistius Reginus

Reginus is a brave Roman centurion who is friends with both Titus Pullo and Lucius Vorenus, a friendship sometimes strained by their rivalry. While he has been in the Roman army several months longer than Pullo and Vorenus, he has not risen in the ranks as quickly and is not a centurion of the senior grade. Nonetheless Reginus' loyalty to Rome and his friends never falters.

Titus Sextius

Titus Sextius is another centurion who has befriended Titus Pullo, Lucius Vorenus, and Gaius Antistius Reginus. He is the youngest of the quartet and while not a senior grade centurion, the speed at which he has risen through the ranks is impressive. While he is of rather noble blood and tends to lead towards Pullo, he has no qualms with Vorenus or Reginus who defend Rome bravely, just as he does.

Catuvolcus

Catuvolcus is an older Gaul who used to be the chieftain of the Eburones tribe until his nephew got impatient and Ambiorix forced him to take a step down, now serving as Ambiorix's second-in-command. He is weary of battle from spending most of his years protecting his trib'es land from Germans who crossing over the Rhine. Unlike his nephew, Cauvolcus cares about his fellow Eburones and his Gallic brothers.
